I set out on a lovely afternoon for a snowshoe with the lovely miss Charlie. It's a bomby -4 and overcast but once deep into the trail the sky darkens and in the distance I see a storm brewing...the field I could once see clearly is a blur and before we know it we are caught in a wicked and very cold blizzard. We pick up the pace and get home in a snappy 15 minutes but not before minor frost bite has nipped my face and hands. I could have avoided the hand chill but then how would I have grabbed these photos...
